Plan for New Stoughton High School EndorsedCategory: Company Updates
The plan to build a brand new, state-of-the-art, world class high school in Stoughton has been unanimously endorsed! In a joint meeting with the High School Building Committee, the selectmen and school committee, it was unanimously voted to approve option C2A, a new construction, for submission to the Massachusetts School Building Authority. The building committee selected the option from the final four designs – two new buildings and two combined addition and renovation projects. This option provides for a a three-story, 229,500-square-foot building with a courtyard in the center.
Compass will manage the design and construction of the new Stoughton High School. The new school will be built within 30 feet of the existing school. Compass will spearhead the strategic planning in order to minimize the impact on the students, faculty, administration and community to provide the Town of Stoughton with a High School that will meet the educational, health, and social needs of its students.Read Article in Stoughton Journal
