Boston University Myles Standish Hall Renovation UpdateCategory: Company Updates
The Boston University Myles Standish Hall Renovation is moving along with an anticipated completion date of August 2018. With a focus on undergraduate housing at the University's Charles River Campus as part of the 2013-2023 Institutional Master Plan, the goal is to preserve and modernize the original Myles Standish Hotel and adjacent Annex building to create an energy efficient, LEED Silver design to maximize bed count and private rooms and leverage the student services and dining at 100 Bay State Road. To retain undergraduates on campus, the plan includes connecting buildings at each floor and providing modern amenities and common spaces. The plan also includes a reprogrammed ground floor to create an active streetscape along Beacon Street.
